NAGNATA
To celebrate the launch of NAGNATA's latest range at Alterior Motif — Movement 15 — we wanted to provide some brand insights as well as break down a few of the materials used by NAGNATA! Movements Not Seasons - NAGNATA is a directional, ethical sportswear and lifestyle brand designing pieces made for modern movement and studio-to-street style. From the brand’s conception, NAGNATA have focused on sustainable production and aim to redefine value in the fashion industry, encouraging “movements not seasons”.
RWS Certified Merino Wool
RWS Certified Merino Wool is sourced ethically from farms practicing responsible land management and animal welfare. Merino wool is a natural, renewable fibre known for its moisture-wicking and temperature-regulating properties, making it ideal for active wear due to its durability and antibacterial nature.
GRS Recycled Nylon is certified under the Global Recycled Standard, ensuring the nylon has been verified by a third party as recycled material. This fabrication can be found in their core seamless styles - a lot of our favourite pieces in the latest drop, the Demi Wool Legging, Ballet Wool Mini Short, Classic Wool Bralet and the Classic Wool Bodysuit.
GOTS Organic Cotton / GRS Recycled Nylon
Nagnata combines two main fabric types: 100% GOTS organic cotton and a blend of 75% GOTS organic cotton with 25% GRS recycled nylon. Organic cotton is preferred over conventional cotton due to its avoidance of harmful synthetic pesticides, which are detrimental to farmers and ecosystems. Additionally, organic cotton offers natural breathability and comfort, absorbing sweat and toxins released during physical activity, making it a healthier choice for both wearers and the environment. These fabrications can be found in the Rydell Short 2.0 in both Fennel and Ocean colour ways.
